Sugar

For centuries, women have depended on a natural sugar paste to remove unwanted hair. Sugar's natural protective and healing qualities make this the gentlest, safest procedure to date. There are a few things you should know before we start.

Client / After Care Information

Common sensations after any hair removal treatment:

Red, itchy skin: Caused by increased blood flow to the area. Apply cool compresses and sensation will subside.

Red raised bumps: Caused by the friction of removing hair from its follicle. Will usually disappear within hours. Apply cool compress if you wish White bumps (particularly on upper lip): May be caused by over-stimulation of oil glands or by bacteria. Avoid touching this area. Do not apply additional products. If you must wear makeup, please ask your specialist to apply clean, fresh makeup. Your own my be contaminated through daily use.


To speed healing, apply a saltwater compress: 1 /2 teaspoon of table salt to 1 /4 cup of warm water. Saturate cotton with saltwater and hold to affected area for 5-10 minutes. Salt will act as a catalyst and speed the natural healing process. For larger body areas, add 1 /2 cup epsom salts to a warm tub. Soak for no longer than 15 minutes, or skin will become dehydrated.
