Plasma is the fourth state of matter along with Solid, Liquid, and Gas. This principle involves the ionization of gases from the atmospheric air to create a micro electrical discharge or ARC. How does it work?
Plamere Plasma Pen Pro Aka Fibroblast Skin-Tightening treatment uses small electric arch which is transmitted through a small probe. The probe itself doesn’t go into the skin or even touch the skin. Tissue treated “coagulate” & “sublimate” and it avoids spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding areas. The principle is to ionize gases in the air to create a small electric arch, similar to a tiny lighting bolt, with which epidermal areas, which are affected by aesthetic problems, may be treated without spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding areas. This arc causes superficial damage to the upper dermal layer of skin and transmits heat to the lower levels of skin. This process causes the new skin to generate collagen and elastin fibers, that can fade as we age.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR DAY OF TREATMENT?
Do not wear makeup or use any moisturizer on your day of treatment. Just come in with clean skin. Its recommended to take an antihistamine one hour before your appointment and continue to take antihistamines for two to three days after your appointment. This will reduce swelling in the treatment area.
A numbing agent is placed on the treatment area and left to take effect for 30 to 45 minutes. When the area is sufficiently numb the treatment will begin. During the treatment you will feel some heat and minor irritation. Treatment time will last from 45 minutes and up to several hours depending on the size of the treatment area. During your first appointment you will be given aftercare instructions. Following these instructions is critical for best results. No exfoliators or harsh cleansers can be used in the week following treatment. We recommend a pH balanced soap such as Dove. You should also avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area.
Is any special Pre-Treatment Needed?
No special Pre-treatment needed. It is advisable that you do not apply any cosmetic products on the treated area (especially those containing alcohol). During the consultation you should mention all recent surgical or aesthetic procedures.
Is the Procedure Painful?
Fibroblast-Skin Tightening is a NON-invasive procedure with minimal level of pain, as the treated area is numbed before the treatment. After the treatment, the treated area might be slightly reddish, and some patients may experience some swelling. (only for the areas around the eyes). Sensitive skin types fairer skin types can possibly see excess swelling in the delicate eye area, this is normal, and part of the healing process and dissipates as the body works to heal itself. The eye area can be sensitive, and everyone’s sensitivity varies. At the site of each spot a small crust will form. They should not be touched, and you should wait for 4-5 days for them to fall off naturally. May I Use Makeup After the Fibroblast-Skin Tightening Treatment?
Do not use makeup after the treatment, as it generally is not sterile. When the crusts fall off, you may apply some makeup if necessary.
